Morzine is part of the Portes du Soleil which has 650 km of pistes with something to offer for all abilities. It is a good area for beginners, there are village nursery slopes with snowmaking equipment on them and further up the mountain plenty of gentle blue runs to progress onto. Intermediates have a good choice of blues and reds which snake their way through the tress to the base of the mountain. Chamossiere and Pointe de Nyon have some steeper pistes including the Aigle Noir and Les Creux black runs. Good off piste routes run from Pointe de Nyon and Chamossiere, a guide is highly recommended. There are great views of Mont Blanc from Chamossiere.

For even more choice you can head over to Les Gets or up to Avoriaz and the rest of the Portes du Soleil. There are good blue runs in the Super Morzine area below Avoriaz. The Super Morzine gondola that links to Avoriaz has no return piste so you must come back on the lift.
If you want to stay closer to the action there are even two hotels located in the ski area, The Viking at the top of the Pleny lifts is served by the cable car which runs next to the bubble. At the top of the Nyon cable car is the Hotel des Chamois.
For serious snow parks you will need to head up to Avoriaz which has 5. Les Gets also has a snowpark on Mont Chery and a boarder cross on the Chavannes slopes.
There are 95 km of cross country trails split into different areas. Les Dereches starts from the sports centre and is suitable for all abilities, the Manche Valley is more challenging and has a number of different circuits, up on the Pleney sector are runs in the trees and at Lake Montriond a scenic circuit of the lake.
