To find routes and airlines please see our flight finder page. For a map and satellite view see the Location Map. Detailed driving directions to the resort from the airports are in the 'Driving to' section below.
Geneva
Geneva at 54 miles (87 kms) is the closest airport with excellent autoroute links. It is a major international airport so there are plenty of flights to choose from all parts of the UK and ROI.
Chambery
Chambery at 82 miles (132 kms) is also convenient. It is well served in the ski season from most regions of the UK. However due to its position at the end of the Lac du Bourget the airport can be more affected by bad weather than the alternatives so a last minute change of destination is more likely.
Lyon
Lyon at 129 miles (208 kms) is a large, modern 'hub' airport. Although well served from the eastern side of the UK not many options are available for skiers from the west and south west.
Grenoble
Grenoble located half way between Lyon and Grenoble at a distance of 132 miles (212 kms) is the furthest airport. Direct flights are possible from most regions of the UK in the season. Of special interest to skiers from Cornwall and Devon are flights from Newquay and Plymouth.

Rail

The closest railway station is Cluses a distance of 17 miles (27 kms), with Thonon-les-Bains on the shore of Lake Geneva, at 21 miles (34 kms) and Geneva a distance of 43.5 miles (70 kms). At weekend in the ski season and in the summer months there is a direct TGV service from Paris with journey times of 4hr 23m for Cluses, 4hr 9m for Thonon. At other times a change to a local train is required. Geneva has a year round direct TGV service from Paris with a journey time of 3hr 25m. There are regular bus services to the resort see the Altibus website or see the 'Taxi & Transfer' section above for other options

The bus station at Geneva is a short walk from the tain station. Use the excellent Geneva Bus Station website for details and booking. Select 'Ticket - Reservation' then 'Stations in the Alps' for a list of destinations.

The overnight sleeper service the 'Lunea' is a viable option on this route, leaving Paris at 11pm and arriving at Cluses the following morning around 8:45am.

Bookings for all services can be made with either Rail Europe or Eurostar. For full details of travelling by train see the 'Rail' page in the Travel section. For a map and satellite view of the train and bus stations see the 'Location Map'
